You won’t find blow torches, dry ice machines, chocolate sculpting moulds or any other fancy equipment in my kitchen and I don’t profess to be an award-winning pastry chef trained by the crème-de-la-crème of the industry BUT….what I can promise you is that I bake from the heart with love and passion, everything I bake is handmade by me and there are no special machines, nasty preservatives and additives.
MY BAKING STARTS WITH TRADITION
I take Old Italian recipes that have been used for generations and sometimes I tweak them to give them the ‘Lorena stamp’ but always staying true to its origin baked the traditional way, to bring you that authenticity.There is no place for 2nd rate ingredients in what I create, I always strive to use fresh, quality produce, some of which is imported from Italy. I source local, free range, organic eggs, butter and milk, premium grade Italian flour, the best quality imported Italian liquors because the better the ingredients the more flavoursome the bake, and the proof really is in the ‘pudding’.As the saying goes “Cleanliness is next to godliness” and this is my working ethos in the kitchen, rest assured you are safe in my hands as Pasticceria Lorena holds a 5* hygiene rating.
Last but certainly not least, customer service is just as important to me as what I bake. I promise to give you attention to detail within a personal customer service. Be it on the phone, via email or in a one-to-one consultation, no matter how big or small your order, making you happy, makes me happy, so nothing is too much trouble.
